Hello. I’m Mark Lundgren, a Portland-based 3D Generalist and Motion Designer.

As a maker, the value I bring to a project or production stems from my love of detail and my ability to creatively and technically solve problems. I thrive in collaboration, integrating quickly with teams to contribute where I add the most value and to build on the complementary strengths of others. When needed, I can operate solo—self‑managing scope, timeline, and quality.

For 24 years, I’ve worked across advertising, VFX, and motion design, including Arnold Worldwide (2000–2003), Wieden+Kennedy (2004–2018), and freelancing since 2019. I’ve contributed to global brands including Nike, Coca-Cola, Meta, Starbucks, Electronic Arts, Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge, Samsung, Old Spice, Target, KFC, and P&G. I served as Lead CG Artist on the feature film Sketch—developing characters, building a C4D↔Maya pipeline, and integrating animation into live action.

Tools: Cinema 4D, Redshift, Octane, Substance Painter, ZBrush, X‑Particles, After Effects; prior Nuke; generalist‑level rigging; capable 3D animator; particle sims.

Freelance clients: Sandwich | Seth Worely | Mirada | Oddfellows | Happy Finish| Invisible Thread | Media.Monks | AKQA | Pretty Damn Sweet | +&> | dotdotdash | Nemo Design | Hatke Creative | Freethink | Artefact Group | Playabl Studios | Nexus Studios | Plazma | Superdoom

I’m also an avid sailor with 13,500+ nautical miles of experience cruising and racing throughout the coastal waters of Oregon, Washington, Canada, and Alaska. The biggest lesson I’ve learned through sailing is the art of managing uncertainty.

Available for freelance/contract work; open to a full-time role if a well-matched opportunity arises.
